Jens starts the season with second place

Jens Fahrbring, who this year will be focusing on the Challenge Tour and mixing in a few European Tour events, started the Challenge Tour season by finishing second after a tough playoff against Lorenzo Gagli in Barclays Kenya Open.

Jens started the week in the middle of the field and made it into the weekend just two shots clear of the cut-line after rounds of 72 and 70, six shots behind Gagli.

The weekend started in a much better way for Jens as he carded a 64 on the Saturday, starting the Sunday as T7. A 67 on the Sunday, tied best score of the day, threw Jens into a shared lead and a playoff. After slipping in his downswing on the third playoff hole, Jens found the water. Even though he managed to card a bogey, Gagli made his third consecutive par of the playoff.

Even though this was the first event of the season on the Challange Tour schedule, it has the largest prize fund and Jens was awarded with € 55,000 for his second place.
