Martin takes Bermuda by storm

October 17, 2014

As the weather was approaching from the ocean, the foursome turned into a twosome. Martin Kaymer and Bubba Watson was head to head, dead even going down the last, leaving Rory McIlroy and Jim Furyk in their wake.

36 holes were not enough though to separate the two and produce a winner of the PGA Grand Slam of Golf at Port Royal. In the testing, breezy condition Martin and Bubba returned to the 18th tee after tying at 6 under par.

They both produced excellent tee shots, finding the middle of the fairway. Bubba then proceeded to put the pressure on Martin, by knocking his approach to 4 ft. Martin stepped up to the challenge – as he so often does, and equaled the result. Martin calmly expedited his birdie putt to take the title to add to his tally of 2014 – including the Players and the US Open.

Martin held of the challenge once again, and converted a lead going into the last round into victory.
