Seve grew up outside London, and yes his father John named him after the Spanish flamboyant golfing legend; Severiano Ballesteros. From a very early age Seve chose the golf course as his playground.

He came through the amateur ranks as a member of the English Golf Union´s Elite A-squad. Seve was also a member of the Surrey Team that won the National Championship in 2004

He won the national Amateur titles in Russia and Qatar and followed up by making the cut in the respective countries´ European Tour events. Finishing 10th in Russia as an amateur.

He turned professional in the end of 2007 and quickly established himself in 2008 by winning first on the EuroPro Tour and then another victory on the European Challenge Tour in Italy, shooting a course record 62 in the process. He added a third victory in the Czech Republic in a 3-hole play off getting his nose in front of Rafael Cabrera Bello. This triumph secured his playing priviliges on the European Tour for 2009.

He has a chance to be the first player to earn Battlefield Promotion onto the European Tour (by winning three times in the same season on the Challenge Tour).

Seve is attached at the Wentworth Club, and joins fellow club member Ross Fisher on tour.

Even though he is going to have a hard time emulating his namesake Ballesteros he has an overall very exciting game and is ready to compete at the next level.

Since he has already excelled in the desert, look for a fast start in 2009.
